Food safety among the world’s elite

Danish veterinary controls at both farms and abattoirs are among the strictest in the world.

Towards better agriculture practices

Our vision is that meat from Danish Crown will be net-zero by 2050. To reach this, we aim to cut our production’s carbon footprint by 42% and reduce our value chain emissions by 20% by 2030. Establishing science-based targets is a tangible step towards these reductions.

Climate solutions

We are aware that meat production represents part of the climate challenge, and we want to be part of the solution. That is why we’re engaging in different projects with key stakeholders and experts supporting the transition of our industry and of the agriculture in general.

Farmers follow the Climate Track

The Climate Track is our ESG programme for farmers supplying slaughter animals to Danish Crown. The programme covers different parameters and helps each farmer develop individual goals that support them and us to achieve our ambition of net-zero in 2050.

Animal welfare

At Danish Crown, we give high priority to animal welfare and support good animal welfare from farm to abattoir. That is why we work together with our cooperative owners, suppliers of slaughter animals and experts and NGOs within the food industry.
